Step One Detailed

Select Your DNA Service

Each service has a slightly different path to your raw data. Pick yours below and follow the steps.

AncestryDNA
~2 minutes 5-column format
1
Sign in to your Ancestry account
Go to ancestry.com and log in with the account you used to take the AncestryDNA test.
2
Navigate to your DNA settings
From the top menu, click DNA, then click Your DNA Results Summary. On the results page, click Settings in the top-right corner.
3
Find the "Download Raw DNA Data" section
Scroll down to the Download Raw DNA Data section. Click the Download button. Ancestry will email you a confirmation link to verify the request.
4
Confirm via email and download
Open the email from Ancestry, click the confirmation link, enter your account password, and click Confirm Data Download. The download will start as a .zip file.
Heads up: Ancestry files are typically 7–18 MB. Larger than most providers because they include more markers — which means richer NuGenia insights for you.
23andMe
~2 minutes 4-column format
1
Sign in to your 23andMe account
Go to you.23andme.com and log in.
2
Open the Browse Raw Data tool
Click your profile icon in the top-right, then select Browse Raw Data. (Alternatively, go directly to you.23andme.com/tools/data.)
3
Request your download
Click the Download Raw Data link near the top of the page. Confirm your identity by entering your password and answering the security question. Click Submit request.
4
Download when ready
23andMe will email you when the file is ready (usually within an hour). Click the link in the email — or return to the same page — to download your .zip file.
Note: 23andMe sometimes takes up to an hour to prepare the file. Don't worry — you can leave the tab and come back when you get the email.
MyHeritage
~2 minutes 4-column format
1
Sign in to MyHeritage
Go to myheritage.com and log in.
2
Open DNA Manage Kits
From the top menu, click DNA → Manage DNA Kits.
3
Request the download
Click the three-dot menu next to your kit, then Download Kit. Confirm via the verification email MyHeritage sends.
4
Save the ZIP file
Once approved, download the .zip file directly from the link in the email.
FamilyTreeDNA
~2 minutes 4-column format
1
Sign in to FamilyTreeDNA
Go to familytreedna.com and log in to your account.
2
Go to Data Download
From the dashboard, click Family Finder, then click Download Raw Data in the side menu.
3
Download the Build 37 file
Click Build 37 Raw Data Concatenated. Your .csv or .zip download will begin immediately.
Format note: Always select Build 37 — not Build 38. NuGenia's reference rules are calibrated to Build 37 coordinates.
LivingDNA
~2 minutes 4-column format
1
Sign in to LivingDNA
Go to livingdna.com and log in.
2
Open your settings
Click your profile in the top-right, then choose Account Settings.
3
Find Download Raw DNA Data
Scroll to Download Raw DNA Data. Click Request Download. You'll get an email when the file is ready (typically within 24 hours).
4
Download the file
Click the link in LivingDNA's email to grab your .zip.
Steps Two & Three

Unzip and Upload

Same steps no matter which provider you used. Takes about 90 seconds.

2

Unzip your DNA file

The downloaded file is compressed as a .zip. Extract it to reveal the raw .txt file inside.

Double-click the .zip file in Finder. macOS extracts it automatically into a folder right next to the zip. Open the folder and find the .txt file inside — that's the one you'll upload.
Right-click the .zip file in File Explorer and choose Extract All…. Click Extract. A new folder opens containing your .txt file.
We strongly recommend completing this on a computer — most mobile browsers can't reliably extract .zip archives or pick the .txt file out of them. If you're on a phone, transfer the .zip to a computer first.
3

Upload to your NuGenia portal

Log in to your account, open your active report order, and drop the .txt file into the upload area.

What happens after upload:
  1. Your file is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  2. Our genomic engine analyzes your file across 14 biological pathways.
  3. Your personalized peptide insight report is emailed to you shortly.
Privacy promise: Your raw DNA file is processed once for your report and never shared, sold, or used for anything else. You can request full deletion at any time.
Common Questions

Anything Worth Asking

Quick answers to the things people ask before uploading.

NuGenia accepts the raw .txt file from any major DNA testing service — 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, or LivingDNA. We do not accept .zip archives directly; please extract the .txt first.

Most reports are generated and emailed within minutes of upload. Larger files (Ancestry exports can be 18 MB) may take slightly longer to process.

Yes. Your file is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is processed solely to generate your personalized insight report, then stored only as long as you keep your account active. Your DNA data is never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose. You can request permanent deletion at any time by contacting support.

If your raw DNA file is a tab-separated .txt with rsID identifiers (any major consumer genomics service), it will work. If you're unsure, contact hello@nugenialogics.com with your file format and we'll confirm compatibility before you upload.

We strongly recommend a desktop or laptop computer for the upload step. Most mobile browsers cannot extract .zip archives or reliably select the .txt file out of one. The actual DNA download from your service may work on mobile, but transfer the .zip to a computer before unzipping.

If the upload portal returns an error, the most common cause is uploading the .zip instead of the unzipped .txt. Double-check that you've extracted the archive and uploaded the .txt file inside. If the problem persists, email hello@nugenialogics.com and we'll investigate.

Your NuGenia Insight Report analyzes your genomic profile across 14 biological pathways — including muscle hypertrophy, energy metabolism, cognitive performance, and sleep recovery — and identifies which peptides align most strongly with your genetic markers. It's a research-grade interpretive tool, not medical advice.
