No. This report analyzes the raw data file you can already download from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage or FamilyTreeDNA. No new kit, no new sample, no additional lab work. If you have tested with any of those services, your file is already sufficient — see the Raw DNA File Format Reference.

What exactly is a “peptide relevance score”?

A 0–100 measure of how closely your specific genetic variants match the biological targets of the eight compounds studied in this pathway. A high score means many of your markers sit in the systems those compounds act on. A low score means few of them do — often a sign of a strong natural baseline.

It measures relevance to your genetics, not how healthy you are, and it is not a recommendation to take anything.

Will this tell me if I have an autoimmune or inflammatory condition?

No. It cannot, and it does not try to. These fourteen markers describe ordinary variation in cytokine signaling, bacterial sensing and vitamin-D-driven immunity across the entire population. They are not diagnostic, they are not a risk score, and no combination of them indicates rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, IBD, coeliac disease or any other condition.

Inflammation is measured — CRP, ESR, cytokine panels, and the clinical picture — not inferred from a genotype. If you have joint pain, gut symptoms, unexplained fatigue or anything else that worries you, please see a doctor rather than buying a $29 report and hoping it explains it.

Is the analysis done by AI?

The scoring is not. Your genotypes are matched against a curated, versioned rule set and the score is arithmetic on those matches, so the same file always produces the same result. That determinism is deliberate, and it is the main technical difference between this report and products that pass your genotypes to a language model and print the output.

How do I send you my file?

Why fourteen markers here when other reports have four?

Because the pathways genuinely differ in how much well-replicated evidence exists. Inflammation and immunity have been studied across many independent cytokine and receptor genes, so there is more worth reading. Muscle hypertrophy has four markers with deep replication behind them and a long tail of weak candidates we deliberately leave out.

We would rather publish four solid markers than pad a panel to look impressive — and we would rather run fourteen where fourteen are warranted. More markers is not automatically a better report, and the price is the same either way, which removes any incentive to inflate the count.

My VDR result says reduced signaling. Should I take more vitamin D?

That is exactly the leap this report is careful not to make for you, because the honest answer depends on a blood level it cannot see. A VDR variant describes how your receptor responds to vitamin D — it does not tell you your current status, and taking more is not automatically the right response. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and genuinely possible to overdo.

The useful move is to get 25-hydroxyvitamin D measured and take that result, plus this one, to your doctor. That is a real conversation with two pieces of information in it. Dosing yourself from a genotype alone is not.

Can I show this to my doctor?
